False Bomb Threat At Newark School: Police

A false bomb threat was phoned into BRICK Avon Academy in Newark on Monday, Oct. 23, police said.

Police responded to the school at 1 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Police, along with the Essex County Sherriff's Office K-9 unit conducted a sweep of the building and determined the call was false, Fragé said.

The incident remains under investigation, Fragé said.
